The Ascendant Council is the third encounter in the Bastion of Twilight. It's comprised of three distinct phases; the first phase involves fighting a frost and fire ascendant lords, the second phase you're pitted against an earth and wind ascendant lords whilst the third phase involves defeating one boss that is an amalgamation of the four - Elementium Monstrosity. Each phase transition occurs when one ascendant lord reaches 25% hp - however it's important to keep the hp between each lord as close as possible as the Elementium Monstrosity has a combined health pool of all four ascendant lords.
Phase One: Ignacious and Feludius- One tank on each boss, facing the boss away
- Melee on Ignacious (left, fire), ranged loosely spread at max range attacking Feludius (right, water)
- Everyone should stay clear from Feludius' (tank them apart!)
- If hit by a water bomb, you must run through a fire patch to remove
waterlogged debuff before you are iceblocked
- If you receive the
fire debuff, stand next to the ranged who will deal increased damage to Felundius - dispel after 10-20 seconds
- If you receive the
frost debuff, stand next to the melee who will deal increased damage to Ignacious - dispel after 10-20 seconds
- When Ignacious gains a
fiery shield it must be dps'd down asap to interrupt
Rising Flames, the melee should be able to do this themselves with the frost buff
- Ranged should interrupt Feludius'
hydrolance ability, which causes significant damage to a random raid member
- When one of the bosses reaches 25% the next phase will begin, you should try to have both bosses as low as possible before one reaches 25%
Tanks:
- Tank the bosses apart
- Interrupt when possibleHealers:
- Spread at max range from Feludius

- If you get a blue debuff, run to the melee
- Interrupt HydrolancePhase Two: Arion and TerrestraArionTerrestra- Ranged on Arion (he teleports), melee on Terrestra
- Each boss casts powerful AoEs that can be avoided making use of special mechanics - take note of cyclones and gravity wells (looks like the white circles seen in the Blood Princes encounter in Icecrown Citadel)
- Start the phase by moving to one of the cyclones, to receive a levitate buff
- Once Terrestra has used his earthquake ability, everyone must move to a gravity well in order to avoid Arion's Thundershock
- Also be aware of Arion's
Lightening Rod, if targeted by the get to the outside of the room (this is more important than gaining the correct buff to avoid the AoE - call out for extra healing if this is the case
- Melee be aware of Terrestra's
eruption ability, causing spikes to spawn in the ground much like Erunak in Throne of the Tides
- This continues until one boss has reached 25%, again they must both be low on health to help with phase three
Tanks:
- Get the levitate buff asap (cyclone)
Change to grounding (white swirly) after earthquake, and alternate throughout the phase as the bosses use their ultimates
- Doesn't matter where you tank them (Arion teleports)
- Watch for the earth shards if tanking TerrestraHealers:
- Get the levitate buff asap (cyclone)
- Change to grounding (white swirly) after earthquake, and alternate throughout the phase as the bosses use their ultimates
- Heal people with lightening rod (be aware they may take MASSIVE damage if they were unable to switch between air or ground)
- Run out of the raid (to the extremities of the room) if targeted by Lightening RodMelee DPS:
- Get the levitate buff asap (cyclone)
- Change to grounding (white swirly) after earthquake, and alternate throughout the phase as the bosses use their ultimates

- Attack ArionPhase Three: Elementium Monstrosity- Has the combined (total and remaining) hp of the previous four bosses
- Becomes a DPS race as he will do increasingly large AoE over time
- Spawns pools which he must be kited out of - these get large as he stands in them, like a reverse defile from The Lich King encounter
- Spawns small seeds which explode on the ground which must be avoided (they have a small area of effect)
- Ranged must spread out in order to avoid stacking as his
AoE as it chains like on the Illidan Stormrage encounter in The Black Temple
Tanks:
- Tank around the centre of the room
- Move boss when he creates blue swirlies under himHealers:
- Spread out
